Here’s our guide on getting in touch with any Reddit mod at the helm of your favorite subreddit…
How to Contact Reddit Moderators
One of the most important Reddit mod tools is Modmail, a private messaging system used to communicate with ordinary users on the platform.
To get in touch with your local Reddit team, you can send a message to your community moderators through the subreddit’s right-most sidebar—the Moderators section will provide links to each moderator’s profile individually.
But what you’re really after is the Message the Mods button just above this list of handles.
Clicking this opens up a form that you can use to reach out to the entire squad that moderates a subreddit. You can, of course, also include any of their usernames in this query in order to get in touch with somebody that you know or have been in previous correspondence with.
Simply select the type of issue that you’d like to report from the dropdown. You’ll find general categories of problems here, such as options for reporting harassment or spam.
The subreddit’s specific rules should also be included here.
If you’re reaching out for another reason besides reporting content or a post, select Other and type up a message in the box below explaining your issue.
This doesn’t guarantee a response, but with some luck the issue you reached out about will be dealt with.
Reddit Moderators Are Here to Help You
When there’s trouble afoot, it’s worth reaching out to a moderator on Reddit if you need some help.
Hopefully, you can get the assistance you need. If the help you need falls outside of a single subreddit’s scope, you may want to try contacting Reddit support instead.
